Location and Venue

You will find Fattoria Pogni located in the heart of Chianti between Florence and Siena, just outside the hamlet of Marcialla divided between the municipalities of Certaldo and Barberino Val d’Elsa.

The historic nucleus of the small hamlet dates back to the 14th century, perched on the hillsides at about 400 metres above sea level and surrounded by stone walls. It can only be reached by a dirt road that incorporates it even further into the Chianti countryside.

You will find yourself catapulted into what is commonly called ‘the heart of Tuscany’: a succession of beautiful landscapes marked by dense vineyards, chestnut, oak and holm-oak woods, picturesque medieval villages, romantic castles and charming farmhouses.

In the outdoor areas, dominated by meadows and olive groves, you will have a five-a-side football pitch, a tennis court, a trampoline net and a large swimming pool with salt purification system and beach entrance (size 20×8 m, depth 1.20-1.80 m) and a splendid view of the valley and surrounding hills.

Each apartment has a private outdoor area furnished with table and chairs where you can eat outside and enjoy unforgettable sunsets over the Chianti hills. Silence and peace are a characteristic feature of the livability of this ancient, small and lonely hamlet; you will live in the midst of history and immersed in one of the most beautiful Chianti valleys.
