Mindfulness is being fully present and aware of your mind, body and surroundings without being judgemental of them. It is an observation of everything in and around you through the use of your senses.
As human beings, we all possess the ability of mindfulness. Still, with the stress and fast pace of the modern world, it is not a common staple in everyday life, particularly in Western societies.
Mindfulness Meditation Examples:

– Lift your eyes and take in your surroundings. Focus on something that inspires you – a flower, a painting, the rain outside. Observe every detail and express your deep gratitude for its beauty.
– If you feel your body tensing during the day, give yourself a moment to relax. Put your tasks aside and sit or lie down in a comfortable spot. Breathe deeply, feeling your shoulders relax, your jaw unclench, and your tension release.
– Switch off external worries and thoughts in your mind. Let yourself become engrossed in your current activity until nothing else seems to matter: this is known as a ‘flow state’. Reaching your flow state makes your work easier – and more mindful.
– Don’t dwell in the past
or dream of the future. Bring your mind into the present moment. What
is happening around you? What can you hear? What can you see? How does it feel to be alive within your surroundings?
